🔥 THE Annual State of the Vuenion

This year, Evan You will be bringing us the long awaited in person brand new State of the Vuenion 2023, so we can't wait to see the updates he has for us

The State of Vuenion 2022

“The talk was an overview of the Eco System and all the new things that have been happening. On February 7th, 2022 Vue 3 has become the default version alongside the new Brand new Vuejs.org Website. Evan explains the adoption of Vue3 by the Community, Eco System updates with the Release of Nuxt3 RC since April 21st, Vuetify 3 Beta released on May 19th, and VitePress 1.0 Alpha and the work in progress on Vite 3.0.”

The State of Vuenion 2021

That State of Vuenion 2021 was extra special because Evan You made a huge announcement for the release of Vue 3 at our conference.

“Vue 3 was a huge release to which parts of the Vue ecosystem are currently adjusting to. Vue Router 4 and VueX 4 are now stable and support Vue 3. Other parts of the ecosystem (e.g., Nuxt, Vuetify, Quasar, Element Plus, Ant Design Vue are catching up). Future developments in terms of development experience revolve around three axes: build tools, authoring experience, and IDE support. While Vue can be used as a drop-in runtime library, Evan You sees Vue as a framework that is supposed to provide a cohesive and comprehensive development experience.”

The State of Vuenion 2020

Evan You, creator and project lead of Vue.js, recently discussed the progress towards the release of Vue 3. After more than two years of development and experimentation, Vue 3 should be released in Q3 this year. Vue 3 brings a faster renderer, a new composition API, a new template compiler, and server-side rendering support. With TypeScript, a separate reactivity package, and a more modular architecture, Vue 3 strives to be smaller, more maintainable and make it easier to target native.”

The State of the Vuenion 2019

“Evan You kicked off the day with an interesting overview of where Vue.js currently stands in terms of numbers, popularity, architecture and roadmap, where they are headed and what’s planned for the future of the framework. He mentioned the recently released version 2.6.0, and gave examples of scoped slots and how they’re an improvement on the existing basic component slots paradigm.”

The State of the Vuenion 2018

And that leaves us at the very first presentation by Evan You. Evan You opened the first edition of Vue.js Amsterdam with a Keynote detailing the better external integrations including, VS Code, CodeSandbox, Prettier 1.10, and Iconic 4. Looking back to this first talk we are incredibly humbled to not only see how the community has grown but also how Vue.js has developed and how involved the community has been in its growth.
